After taking my Audi A6 to a local dealership for service for past 2yrs, I finally got fed up with the feeling in my gut of being taken advantage of. Every time I'd go to dealership for a service or repair they always managed to tack on additional "urgent" problems that would pad the bill and throw in an addition $1-2K in repairs. I called German Car Depot last week and forwarded them the dealership quote on various repairs including replacing the front tire Bushings. Dealership said these had to be replaced immediately and also said my front tires were worn beyond safety limits. I can't say how refreshing it was dealing with Richie, Ollie and Lincoln at German Car Depot. They dealt with me immediately upon arrival to the shop and Lincoln was kind enough to give me a ride back to my home. They spoke to me in an honest and direct way from beginning and made me feel very comfortable. After giving them the dealership quote via email, they came back to me the same day with a quote which was at least 30-40% less than dealership. In fact, I was called a few hours later and informed that the Bushings that dealership quoted as needing to be replaced "urgently," were fine and the car would be perfectly ok to drive until next service in September when they would be revisited. Additionally, front tires were reviewed and apparently were wearing evenly and also did not need to be replaced right away. In short, my Audi A6 and I were treated in a very professional and honest manner. I would highly recommend German Car Depot.
