German Car Depot is an independent automotive repair shop offering service and repairs exclusively for Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mini Cooper, and Porsche vehicles. Our technicians use the same diagnostic equipment and specialty tools as the new car dealer service department and have access to the latest Technical Service Bulletins issued by the manufacturers.
We are more of a family run business, taking the time to get to know each customer and their driving habits. Our parts department is well stocked with an inventory of commonly needed parts to ensure the quickest possible turn-around time on your vehicle’s repair.
The founder and driving force behind German Car Depot is Alan “Ollie” Gelfand, former professional skateboarder and developer of the "Ollie" skateboarding trick.
The team at German Car Depot are European car enthusiasts, they love and understand these vehicles, some of their personal cars include a Porsche 911 GTS, a couple of Jetta's, a Beetle TDI, an Audi A6 Avant, a Passat Wagon and even a VW Corrado. On their last vacation Alan and his wife Sharon visited the Volkswagen Factory in Wolfsburg Germany.
At German Car Depot, German cars are as much a passion as a business. You will not find a more knowledgeable or dedicated auto repair shop.
A few years after injuries ended his professional skateboarding career, Alan begin competing in Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) road racing events.
Building and driving his own VW race cars, Alan went on to win several national competitions including four 24-hour endurance races. Alan discontinued racing in 2002, this allowed him more time to focus his efforts on building German Car Depot into what it is today, South Florida's dealer alternative for expert German car auto repair.
