Great experience! A/C fixed same day I brought it in, done quickly and done right -it’s still ice cold even on these hot summer days. They even gave me a loaner! Fantastic service, thank you German Car Depot!!

I had given up going to VW dealers because of their exorbitant prices but knew I needed a VW specialist since my Passat was having a computer/sensor glitch. After doing considerable research and reading reviews, I scheduled an appointment with German Car Depot in Hollywood and made the trek from North Broward to Hollywood on a Saturday morning. I arrived before they opened but that was no problem. Eddie opened early for me, wrote up the paperwork and assured me that he'd seen this before and it's not a major problem. Sure enough, the mechanic confirmed that it was what Eddie suspected. The part was ordered, delivered, installed and tested. And I was on my way with a 15-month warranty at a fraction of the cost I would have paid a dealer. It was definitely worth the drive. PS - They have a great little waiting area with TV, plenty of magazines, coffee, etc.

I’ve been a loyal customer with German Car Depot for 2+ years (recently changed my timing belt with them in feb for 1200+ dollars) although their work is decent I guess .. I will never go back to them!!!! THEY RIPPED ME OFF!!!! I recently had a dead battery and my car was towed to their shop. They charged me 325+ dollars to change my battery. 100.00 for labor!!!!!!! They totally took advantage of me, and being a single mom this can prove to be a challenge from time to time. I called around to various Euro/German car garages locally whom all told me they do not charge labor as long as I purchase the battery with them, which was significantly lower cost total to have done!! . (Which I did purchase my battery with German Car Depot) .. and the topper is I called Gunther VW which is usually always the last stop, and most expensive and they quoted me 187.00 total for the same battery and labor included!!!! Overcharged 100+ dollars! I spoke to the guy at the garage that day when I picked it up, and he gave me the run around of why they charge that much for labor .. barley acknowledged me .. brushing me off. No help whatsoever. The next day they sent me a text asking about the service they did. I responded with my complaint about being overcharged. The gentleman responded with “I will check with my office manager tomorrow regarding this issue and get back to you as soon as possible”. Well it’s been a week and crickets .. haven’t heard nada! STAY AWAY.. they totally RIPPED ME OFF!!’ Bad business for someone that has been a loyal customer for 2+ years!
