Excellent service. Very nice people. But they will leave you with a bill that will make your head hurt. Parts 205% over market price. Instead of looking for a root of the problem of your vehicle, German Car Depot will start eliminating one issue at a time. That will balloon your bill. That works for some people but not for everyone. $622 + tax to replace your belt, pulley and tensioner. Parts alone $274. (Premium parts cost $131) $831 to replace spark plugs and coils. How do you charge $278 for labor on 40 minute job is beyond my understanding. Again, communication was superb. Customer service - excellent. Facility - comfy and clean. Price... I guess you charge what you can get away with.
Dzmitry- We do pride ourselves on giving a discount where we can and we use oem parts. The parts you are referencing(Spark plugs and Coils) are far from 205% profit. We were giving you an estimate for spark plugs at $13.13 ea (list price is $27.20) and Ignition coils $66.49 ea (list price is $81.49) , and we use oem parts or Bosch. Granted anything can be found inferior on the internet or local parts stores, but we offer a 15month/15,000 mile warranty on all our parts and labor, so we do not use cheaper , inferior brands. There was no "ballooning of your bill". The car came in with a broken belt and we examined and found the tensioner and pulley damaged. Before even begining repairs , we contacted you to give the price for that, so that there were no hidden expenses, and the price given before work was the price charged. The secondary issue that you told us beforehand was 1 cylinder misfiring showed all cylinders misfiring when the engine was scanned, prompting us to inform you of the plugs and coils needed. It's not the bill being gouged that is giving you a headache, it's your car's issues. We are just trying to charge a fair price and give a discount as much as we can (as evidenced by the figures provided) with the dealer quality parts and dealer quality service (but a better warranty to boot).
