Spent most of 15 years at my last mechanic, he was that good. New to the area I was looking for the same qualities, competent and trustworthy. German Car Depot (GCD) had good reviews from long-term customers, a good sign. There are always a few who have a problem, perhaps no matter where they go. I had my wife's Jetta towed in as it wouldn't start. I suspected the battery, GCD suspected the same thing. They gave me an estimate and said they'd call me if they found anything else before working on it. The next call I got was GCD saying they were finished and that it was only a battery. That showed me their honesty and their initial assessment proved their competency. The bill was spot on with the estimate, and the repair was done on-time. I only wish I could take my Honda here, too. I've found my mechanic for the next 15 years, well, at least for as long as my wife owns VWs.
